It is a wonderful thing to be a Christian!  I’m so glad that I have come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and placed my faith in Him for the forgiveness of sin and the salvation of my soul!  The Bible warns us repeatedly that satan would try to infiltrate the church through false doctrine and foolish heresies.  We must be on guard.

Christianity is being polluted and diluted by many unbiblical ideas.  False Doctrine is infiltrating Christianity at an alarming rate.  False Teachers and unbiblical philosophies are being accepted by many.  Some groups that were considered cults from their beginning have now been included into “Christianity”.  Every doctrine and idea must be compared to Scripture.  It is our sole authority for faith and practice.

One of the oldest false doctrines is the idea that once you are saved by faith in Jesus, you can be unsaved; once you are forgiven, you can be unforgiven.  It teaches that you are not secure in salvation until you reach Heaven.  This false doctrine causes a lot of damage to the cause of Christ.  The Bible teaches us God wants us to know that we have eternal life.

What about the verses that make it sound like you can lose your salvation?  There are some and these should be studied thoroughly.  There are great gems of truth in these verses once studied that will help you.  However, after years of study I do not know of one verse in Scripture that teaches the loss of salvation.  One of the laws of Bible study is that you don’t use an obscure verse to override an obvious verse.  If you ever have been saved, you always will be saved.  You didn’t save yourself and you can’t lose yourself.   The question is have you been truly born again?  Only you and God know for sure.

The security of the believer is a wonderful truth.  It is not a license to sin, but an overwhelming reason to live for God. You can live in confidence knowing that you are saved and spend your life telling others about your wonderful Savior.

Here are 25 Biblical reasons you can’t lose your salvation:

The Bible Says you can KNOW that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God tells the truth and keeps His promises.

The combined strength of God the Father and God the Son is protecting your soul.

Jesus promised that you would never die.

God is your Father.

The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit reminding us that we are saved.

Romans 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

God is the Judge of the soul and He already gave you His verdict.

Romans 8:31–33  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

Jesus Christ is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.

Romans 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ.

Romans 8:35–39  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You are a new Creature.

You are made righteous in Christ.
