God always provides an exit from temptation for His children.  You don’t have to sin.

1 Corinthians 10:13  “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Have you ever been driving on an interstate and missed your exit?  You can lose a significant amount of time in some areas of the country because the exits are far apart.

When you are on the road of temptation heading toward sin and destruction, God always provides an exit.  Praise God there is a way to escape!  But it’s up to you to take it.

This verse is vital to every Christian who wants to please God.  Write it down on a card and take it with you today.  Look at it many times.  Put it where you will see it.  Recite it when you are tempted to sin.  Remind yourself of its fantastic truth often.  Memorize it, and it will save you untold trouble in your life.

Your temptation is not unique.  Satan will make you feel like no one has ever been in your situation.  No one knows how you feel or the difficult choices you have to make, right?  Wrong.  Others have faced the same temptations and trials and succeeded.  You can too.

[shareable]You have a limited window of opportunity to say NO between the beginning of temptation and the commission of sin.[/shareable]

God is faithful in your temptation!  He is there.  His power is available.  His strength is abundant.  His grace is sufficient.  He will make sure that you are never put in a situation that you must sin.  It may feel like you don’t have a choice.  It will seem that it’s too late, and you might as well sin, but you don’t have to do it.  You can always say NO.

There is a way of escape from your temptation.  Look for it, and it will be there.  It’s always there.  Why?  God is faithful!

However, you will sin if you don’t take the way of escape.  If you wait too long, you will pass the exit and sin.  The sin you commit will bring sorrow, death, and chastisement.  Don’t do it.  Take the exit.

You must fight your lust to conquer sin.  James chapter one explains that you are tempted when you are drawn away of your lust.  When lust conceives, you sin.  Therefore, you have a limited window of opportunity to say NO between the beginning of temptation and the commission of sin.

When you are tempted, God will remind you to say no.  That is your escape.  Don’t ignore the still small voice within you.  Don’t keep thinking of the sin.  Don’t try to weigh the pleasure versus the consequences.  Don’t consider your options.  Just say NO!  The longer you tarry in temptation, the odds of your sin increase.

You can withstand the initial onslaught of temptation.  It may surprise you.  It may seem overwhelming.  Yet, you will be fine if surrender to God and take the way of escape.

[callout]“Lord, I have fallen for temptation so many times. Please forgive me. Break the chains of my besetting sins. Deliver me from them. Show me the way of escape the next time I am tempted. Grant me strength and wisdom to say NO to sin and YES to You. Amen.'[/callout]
