You are closer to Heaven than you think! Only five simple steps separate you from eternal joy with God in Heaven. Follow these steps to settle your eternal destination.
1. THINK ABOUT YOUR SOUL.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18
When is the last time you considered the miracle of your existence? Why are you here? Why can you think, reason and feel far above the animal kingdom? Are you a temporary cosmic accident with no true purpose? Is there nothing beyond the mysterious veil of death? My friend, you have a lot to think about before you dismiss the afterlife and the eternal destination of your soul! The Bible teaches that you are a special creation of God. You are here because He wanted you to exist. He has given you an eternal soul that will live forever. Long after your body expires, you will still be, know, and feel. Your soul includes your personality and the part of you that is reading, understanding these words, and thinking about them right now.
Most people will enter eternity without ever truly thinking about their soul beyond popular quotes, philosophical bullet points, or preconceived ideas. Take the time to learn what God says in the Bible about salvation before you wager your soul (more…)
Order vs. Chaos. The battle between these two wages every day all around you. Things left to themselves fall into chaos. Order is obtained by design and effort. Here are seven amazing tips that will help you set your life in order.
God brought order out of chaos during the creation of our planet. Genesis 1:1-2 God loves order. A quick glance at nature shows an orderly pattern. This order becomes more apparent the deeper you study creation. From the endless expanse of space to the smallest atom, God’s bias for order is clearly seen. He desires to help us create order out of our chaotic lives.
1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
One of the responsibilities of a pastor is to set the church in order and to keep it organized according to God’s teaching in the Bible.
Titus 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Likewise, it is your responsibility to set in order your personal life and your areas of authority.
The world moves quickly around us. It demands our time and attention with no consideration for God’s commands or our highest priorities.
Either you will live life or life will live you. You must be the designer of your life. You must decide what is truly important and build your life in an orderly way to facilitate the accomplishment of those goals and the fulfillment of those relationships.
As you celebrate Christmas this year, stop in the midst of all the festivities to remember that Christmas is about the Saviour Who came to give you eternal life. Do you believe the Truth of Jesus Christ? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not one truth among many, but THE Truth above all. Salvation is not found in a philosophy, religion, or denomination. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ and Him alone. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The Bible record of Jesus Christ is clear.

One privilege of pastoring is performing weddings. I love being on the platform so close to the action as God unites a man and woman for life. I get to feel the nervousness of the groom as he awaits his bride. I get to hear him catch his breath as he sees her for the first time in her wedding dress. I am privileged to see the expressions on the faces and the emotions in the voices as they say their vows. I watch their trembling hands gently place the wedding ring on their new spouse. Yes, it is a privilege. Every wedding makes me appreciate my wife more and reminds me how precious is my own marriage. Here are some thoughts I gave to a young couple at a recent wedding that are good reminders to us all.
The first miracle that our Lord Jesus performed was at the wedding of Cana. The Lord puts His stamp of approval on marriage in Scripture. Consider Matthew 19:4-6.
“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”
Marriage is the most intimate of human relationships. It is not simply a legal contract, but also spiritual union in which God works a miracle making 2 separate lives become one. God created, defined and ordained marriage to be a holy union and life-long commitment between Husband and Wife. This is a relationship so spiritual and so sacred that is to be ended only in death. It is our privilege to be witnesses of this wedding ceremony.
Marriage is a spiritual union. It must be built upon Christ to reach its potential. So many people have given up on marriage today as antiquated and out dated. Others see it as a failed institution. I remind you that marriage does not fail people. People fail marriage; usually because one or both reject God’s design for it. God created marriage and He alone has the wisdom to help you succeed at it. Your success in this marriage depends directly on your willingness to submit to God and His leadership. I believe you will.
