As you celebrate Christmas this year, stop in the midst of all the festivities to remember that Christmas is about the Saviour Who came to give you eternal life.  Do you believe the Truth of Jesus Christ?  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not one truth among many, but THE Truth above all.  Salvation is not found in a philosophy, religion, or denomination.  Salvation is found in Jesus Christ and Him alone.  In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The Bible record of Jesus Christ is clear.
He was born of a virgin by miracle of God.  This is the reason we celebrate Christmas.  The virgin birth is a great reason to celebrate!  The Son of God humbled Himself by becoming flesh to die in our place as a member of the human race.  Philippians 2:6-8  Don’t miss the fact the Jesus did not stay a baby!  Many people don’t mind remembering the baby Jesus, but they are unwilling to consider the adult Jesus.  He lived a sinless life. He suffered on the cross of Calvary to pay for the sins of mankind. He died.  He was buried. He rose again. These facts are called the Gospel – the good news.  1 Corinthians 15:1-3

You need a Saviour.  The Bible teaches clearly that everyone has sinned and cannot earn their way to Heaven by good works. These sins create a debt that must be paid. The entire human race has been infected by sin. The best of us are sinners at best.

Romans 5:12 says,
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

We cannot save ourselves from eternal judgement. But our loving God doesn’t want anyone to go to Hell. Jesus died in our place to give us an opportunity to go to Heaven through faith. Our sins were placed upon Him on the cross. He paid the price in full. When we choose to believe the gospel, our sin debt is forgiven and we are saved from the wrath our sins require.

Romans 5:6–9 says,
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

The Bible says in Romans 6:23,
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 10:9–13 clearly states,
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

God has left the choice up to you. He offers you the gift of salvation right now. Will you reject Jesus Christ and pay for your own sin in a terrible eternity of torment called Hell? Or will you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour through simple faith in the Gospel?  The choice is yours.

Would you stop your busy life for a moment? Consider your eternal destination. Have you ever confessed Jesus Christ as your Saviour? Do you believe the Gospel? Have you been born again? If your answer is yes, take a minute  now to give God praise for saving your soul. Truly, God’s blessings are abundant to His children.  He is Good!

If your answer is no, what is stopping you from believing in Jesus Christ right now?  There is nothing and no one worth going to Hell for.  Wouldn’t you like to have your sins forgiven and be at peace with God?

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Saviour sent from God? Do you believe that He died on the Cross to pay for our sins and rose again? If so, you can be forgiven right now. Tell Him you believe. Ask for His forgiveness.

If you aren’t sure what to say, let me help you word a prayer. God is listening to your heart. Say the following to God and mean it will all your heart:

[callout]“Dear Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and that I can’t go to Heaven without you. I believe that you are the Son of God, that you died on the Cross to pay for my sin and that you rose again. Please forgive me of all my sin. I accept you as my Saviour now and forever. Thank you for saving me.  Help me to grow and be a good Christian. Amen.”[/callout]

God always keeps His Word.  If you believed in Jesus, He forgave you of your sin.  Let me know if you chose to trust Jesus today so I can rejoice with you and help you grow in faith!
