Every Mom wants to do right by her children. Here are 8 Bible truths that will empower her for success.
God chose an intimate way to create new human life. It is a very personal process. There is a special connection between mother and child. A mom carries the child in her womb for nine months, births him through suffering, feeds him from her body, and teaches him how to live.
What a privilege to be a mother!
Every mom wants to be a good mother, but how is it done? Here are 8 Bible truths that will help every mother lead their children to God and be a good mom.
1. Sincere Faith
How can one hope to fulfill the responsibilities of parenting without God’s help? A good mom must start with her own salvation. When her children see her unwavering and sincere faith in God, it will leave a lasting impression.

2. Accept the Responsibility
Motherhood is a huge responsibility. God plans for a woman to be married before she experiences the joys of sex. This commitment ensures that she is stable, safe, and has a support system for the journey ahead.
Some women have not had the opportunity of Christian training and have babies when not married. If that is your testimony, then you know the hardships of single parenting. Give your life to God, and He will help you.
Whatever your situation, motherhood is hard work. Your life will not be your own for an extended period. There are no sick days and no time off. It’s a full-time gig! Accept the burden, seek God’s help, and make it happen through God’s grace. You can do it!
3. Give to God
Give your children to God. They are not yours. You are a steward of their precious lives. Cast them upon God. Let them know from a young age that you have given them to God, and you want them to follow Him.
4. Made for a Purpose
Teach your children that God made them for a purpose. He made them special because He loves them and has a job that only they can do. Let them know that Who they live for is more important than how they make money.
5. Love Unconditionally
Proverbs 4:3 “For I was my father’s son, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.”
Love your children without reservation or condition. Let them know in countless ways how much you love them. Be creative in your gestures of love. There should never be a day when your children doubt your love.
If you have multiple children, make sure you don’t play favorites. Love them all the same and let them know it.
6. Set Boundaries
Love sets boundaries. Give them rules and set expectations. Never mistake love for license. Many moms get this wrong and regret it. Spoiled children won’t revere you. They will resent you.
Strive to make your home a godly balance of love and law.

7. Teach the Scriptures
A mom has a unique opportunity to teach her children the Scriptures. She is connected to them like no one else in the world. Let them hear you sing hymns and spiritual songs. Help them memorize Bible verses. Teach life lessons and quote a verse, so they know your wisdom comes from God.
8. Be Joyful
One of the best things you can do for your children is rejoicing in the Lord. Don’t let the burdens of motherhood override the joy of it. Don’t get so bogged down in daily living that you are unhappy.
Every child wants to please mom. Also, their stability is wrapped up in you. They think that if you are ok, then the world is ok.
Choose to rejoice. Ask God to give you a supernatural dose of joy regardless of your circumstances. May our children know that we love serving God!
You Can Do It!
Motherhood is a marvelous privilege. I thank God for the excellent work mothers do every day.
Don’t focus on your failures. Start where you are today.
Keep up the good work!
