Christmas is a popular holiday that is celebrated by exchanging gifts with friends and family. You probably already know that Christmas is the holiday celebrating the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. You may not know that people began exchanging gifts on Christmas to celebrate the amazing gift God offers to all of mankind. Have you received the Gift of God?
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
God Bought You A Gift.
A gift is something that someone else purchases and offers to you with no strings attached. The value of a gift is limited by the wealth of the one buying it. Almighty God has unlimited resources. Imagine how valuable the gift He bought for you must be!
The Gift of God is Eternal Life.
God wants you to live forever with Him in Heaven. Heaven is a real place of no sorrow, pain or death where we can live in eternal fellowship with God and one another.
Our sins disqualify us from going to Heaven, so God made a way of salvation.
Receive God’s Gift Through Faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to Earth to save sinners. He died on the Cross to pay for sin. He was buried then rose again three days later. His resurrection proves that He is the Saviour sent from God Who has the power to forgive your sin and grant you eternal life.

Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection is God’s plan for salvation. God offers eternal life as a gift. It cannot be earned by good works or sincere effort. It is a gift given to those who put their faith in Jesus Christ.
You Can Reject The Gift of God.
A gift is offered freely and can be accepted or rejected. God will not make you receive eternal life. In fact, God promises that if you reject His Son and the gift of life, that you will get exactly what your sin has earned. Sin demands judgment by eternal separation from God in the fiery torment of hell, but God loves you and wants you to go to Heaven. The choice is yours.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36
Will You Accept God’s Gift?
I doubt you would knowingly leave an unopened gift under the Christmas tree. How much more foolish would it be to knowingly reject God’s gift of eternal life? Are you willing to change your mind and confess that Jesus Christ is God’s Son Who died on the Cross for you and ask Him to save you?
Receive The Gift Of God Right Now!
If you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and the Saviour of the World, you should pray the following prayer with all of your heart asking God to forgive you for Jesus’ sake. He will hear your prayer and see your faith. You can be sure that you will go to Heaven when you die!
