Christmas is a popular holiday that is celebrated by exchanging gifts with friends and family. You probably already know that Christmas is the holiday celebrating the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. You may not know that people began exchanging gifts on Christmas to celebrate the amazing gift God offers to all of mankind. Have you received the Gift of God?
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
God Bought You A Gift.
A gift is something that someone else purchases and offers to you with no strings attached. The value of a gift is limited by the wealth of the one buying it. Almighty God has unlimited resources. Imagine how valuable the gift He bought for you must be!
The Gift of God is Eternal Life.
God wants you to live forever with Him in Heaven. Heaven is a real place of no sorrow, pain or death where we can live in eternal fellowship with God and one another.
Our sins disqualify us from going to Heaven, so (more…)

God calls men to do His work. When God calls a man to the ministry, He separates him from his peers calling him to a special task. Learn more about this holy calling.
Acts 13:1–4 “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.”
Each child of God is called to good works and service of the Saviour. Eph 2:10 The Christian life should be filled with loving service to our Lord. Yet, God calls certain men to positions of leadership and particular works. He chose Abraham as the Father of the Jews, Moses to lead His people out of Egypt, and Samuel as a prophet and Judge. What a privilege that God still calls men to fulfill His purposes!
When God calls a man to ministry, He separates him from his peers calling him to a specific work. In Acts 13:2, the Holy Ghost called Barnabas and Saul for missionary ministry. They were to leave family and friends traveling to distant lands to spread the Gospel.
It ‘s hard to describe the call of ministry (more…)
A functional calendar is an indispensable tool of stewardship in life management. We live life by a series of dates and times. Is your calendar system helping you stay on top?
Ephesians 5:15–16 “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Time is life. How you spend your time is how you spend your life. The word redeem in the verse above means to ‘buy back’ or ‘rescue from loss.’ Time is wasted when it is not carefully accounted for by a schedule and a calendar. I use Nozbe for my tasks. I use Fantastical 2 for my calendar.
A functional calendar system is an essential tool to keep your life in order. I have used many calendar tools. From good old pen and paper to the fancy digital apps, I have tried many and found them lacking. Some of them are even a hindrance to productivity. Then I found FantasitCal 2. (more…)
We have a lot to do. In this “age of productivity,” we are expected to get things done at an incredible rate. We must find a reliable method to capture tasks and get them done on time. After years of searching for the right productivity tool, I found Nozbe.
I have tried many systems over the years. Things, Asana, Trello, Paymo, Producteev, Remember the Milk, Wunderlist, and much more. If you’ve heard of it, I’ve probably tried it. I use Evernote as a digital file cabinet but found that it doesn’t work well for tasks. I use Asana for Church projects but find it lacking for my personal needs. However, nothing compares to Nozbe for keeping my life in order and helping me get things done.
Nozbe has free and paid options. You can try the Pro option free for 30 days. I am enjoying new levels of productivity after years of trying to put up with the deficiencies of free or cheaper products.
Nozbe strikes an excellent balance between simplicity and function. Some tasks managers are too simple providing almost no options for sorting, tagging, next actions, projects, etc. Other task managers have many options but are confusing and awkward to use. Nozbe has a simple yet elegant interface with many useful options that are easily accessible. Projects, contexts, and tags make sorting easy. (more…)
