Can you know for sure that Heaven will be your eternal Home? Yes!
There are not many things in your life that you can know with 100% confidence. There are just too many variables and things out of your control. Circumstances change, and people let you down. Life is changing all the time, and we learn to live with uncertainty. However, the Bible says that there are some things you can know for sure.
1. You Can Be 100% Sure That God Can’t Lie.
Titus 1:2 “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”
You are lied to every day and have learned to be skeptical. God is not like humans who lie. He says what He means and means what He says. His promises will be fulfilled beyond your expectations, and His judgments will be executed exactly as He warns. Many unbelievers will be shocked in eternity to find out that God keeps His Word. Do you want more than thoughts and prayers? Then get out of our way.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”
It seems that an increasing number of politicians and public figures say they are tired of hearing that “our thoughts and prayers” are with the families of school shootings. They say that more needs to be done. I agree.
Prayer is part of the solution. I believe in the power prayer. It moves the hand of God in the world and the heart of those who pray. We will continue to pray for the families affected by these tragedies. It is our right and privilege to do so. However, the same people that say they’re tired of our thoughts and prayers are usually the same people that are keeping Christians from doing more to help.
It is well-documented that the secular coup of the public school system has been disastrous. Public schools began in church buildings. The first school books were filled with Christian concepts and Bible verses. There has been a concerted effort to remove God from the classroom and public arena. In 1963 the Supreme Court established a prohibition on “state-sponsored prayer” in US schools. That decision has been the foundation of the continued effort to remove any positive influence of Jehovah and His Son in schools. The school system has been in decline since they kicked out the Bible and prayer. The US school system is now a mission field.
Some of you are jumping out of your seat right now citing the Establishment Clause. Sit back down. A nonsensical and unhistorical interpretation of the First Amendment of the Constitution has become the weapon of choice among the enemies of God to remove His influence from our government. Study genuine US history. This amendment was not added to protect the government from churches, but to protect the churches from the government. Christianity was not only allowed in American government; it was clearly preferred over other religions for much of our history. You don’t hear that very often do you?
We would tell children God loves them, but you insist on teaching them that there is no God.
God cares more for these children than we can conceive. He wants them to be protected. Yet, He has been (more…)
Some cry foul or “legalism” at the very mention of living a life separated from sin. Does God have an opinion? Here are 3 Bible reasons that every Christian should strive to live a holy life.
Convictions. Standards. Sanctification. Holy Living. The concept goes by different names among different groups. Whatever name you choose to describe it, the honest Christian must admit that God does not want His people living in sin. Why would God allow His Son to die such a horrible death on the Cross if sin didn’t really matter to Him? (more…)
Every parent wants their children to succeed. Every Christian parent wants their children to follow the Lord. How do we develop a heart of ministry service in our children? Here are ten powerful tips.
Child rearing is one of the most important jobs on the planet. We only get one chance to raise our children. Before we know it, they will be adults themselves. I am not an expert on child rearing. I have my hands full with my children. My child rearing philosophy is simple. “Obey God the best you can and beg Him to make up the difference.” This article is born out of my personal search of the Scriptures to be a better parent for my children and to help the families of our church. I hope it can help you as well.
I rebel against the idea that children and teens are expected to be petty and selfish. I believe that children reared in Christian homes have the opportunity to be an example of what a believer should be. 1 Tim 4:12 A happy Christian, adult or child, will have a servant’s heart. The heart of ministry is a vital component of Christlikeness. May our children have a heart to serve God!
1. Seek Their True Salvation.
John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Every Christian parent wants their children to be saved. Yet, (more…)
The world abounds with adultery, fornication and sexual sin. Yet, God has called His children to purity. How can you protect yourself and your family? Here are 5 Proven Steps.
God wants you to be pure in mind, heart, and body. Sexual desire is natural and part of God’s plan. However, Sex outside of marriage is a sin. Satan works to destroy purity and virtue. Purity is still important to God! If you are unmarried, you should save yourself for your future spouse. If you have already committed fornication, ask God for forgiveness now and decide to honor God until you are married.
Married couples are not immune to the devices of satan. How many marriages are rocked by infidelity? How many married people struggle with pornography? How many families have been shattered by adultery? Being married doesn’t make you immune to sinful seduction and lustful desires.
These five steps are for anyone who wants to honor God with a pure life. (more…)
