The world abounds with adultery, fornication and sexual sin. Yet, God has called His children to purity. How can you protect yourself and your family? Here are 5 Proven Steps.
God wants you to be pure in mind, heart, and body. Sexual desire is natural and part of God’s plan. However, Sex outside of marriage is a sin. Satan works to destroy purity and virtue. Purity is still important to God! If you are unmarried, you should save yourself for your future spouse. If you have already committed fornication, ask God for forgiveness now and decide to honor God until you are married.
Married couples are not immune to the devices of satan. How many marriages are rocked by infidelity? How many married people struggle with pornography? How many families have been shattered by adultery? Being married doesn’t make you immune to sinful seduction and lustful desires.
These five steps are for anyone who wants to honor God with a pure life. (more…)
Money is the currency of life. We use it to provide, food shelter, clothing, etc. for ourselves and our families. It is hard to come by and easy to lose. Create a workable budget that will help you conquer your finances once and for all. Here’s how.
Proverbs 27:23–24 “Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, And look well to thy herds. For riches are not for ever:And doth the crown endure to every generation?”
The Bible tells us that we need to be diligent to know the state of our finances. Also, we are to pay close attention to them because they disappear quickly. A budget plans your spending. It protects you from impulsive spending and unwise purchases. A budget is a schedule for your money. A schedule is a budget for your time. You will be a slave to your budget or your bills. Choose your own fate and create a budget.
1. Figure your Gross income (before taxes) from all sources.
You must take care of yourself to take care of others. Don’t be a casualty of your desire to help people. Heed this powerful reminder.
Song of Solomon 1:6 “Look not upon me, because I am black, Because the sun hath looked upon me: My mother’s children were angry with me; They made me the keeper of the vineyards; But mine own vineyard have I not kept.”
This verse speaks of a woman who was a servant. She had responsibility and worked hard. Her skin was darkened from long days in the sun. She helped others to the detriment of her own responsibilities, yet people were still unhappy with her. Sound familiar? This scenario has played out many times over throughout history.
You must take care of yourself to help other people!
As you celebrate Christmas this year, stop in the midst of all the festivities to remember that Christmas is about the Saviour Who came to give you eternal life. Do you believe the Truth of Jesus Christ? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not one truth among many, but THE Truth above all. Salvation is not found in a philosophy, religion, or denomination. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ and Him alone. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The Bible record of Jesus Christ is clear.

Labor, or work, has always been prized among God’s people. Work makes the world go around. Without the labor of men’s hands, the world stops functioning as the laws of sin and entropy are clearly seen in the certain spiral toward disorder and collapse.
The first Labor Day was held in New York City on Tuesday, September 5, 1882 as planned by the Central Labor Union. It was a “workingmen’s holiday” that celebrated the achievements and contributions of workers. It is a sad fact that many people today view work as a bad thing. This Labor Day let’s take a look at the concept of Labor as seen in the Bible.
God Left You an Example of Labor.
Genesis 1:1–4 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
The Bible begins with God working. He is using His creativity, His breath, and His words. Later He uses His hands to form man and His breath to bring Him to life. Our productivity through labor follows the example of God.
God made You to Labor.
Genesis 2:15 “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”
Mankind is made to work. A good one word definition for work is accomplishment. There is pleasure, happiness and satisfaction in hard work that cannot come from amusements. These rewards do not come from “being on the clock”, but from accomplishing the day’s tasks. Get things done. Do them right. Then you can look back on them with satisfaction as God did. (more…)
