Father. Dad. Daddy. Any man that has heard these words from the mouth of a child is blessed. These three truths remind us of the glory of fatherhood.
Proverbs 17:6 “Children’s children are the crown of old men; And the glory of children are their fathers.”
God shares His name with fathers.
God revealed Himself to be our Heavenly Father. He gives life. He watches over and cares for His children. He desires a close and personal relationship with each of them.
Matthew 6:1 “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:4 “That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.”
Matthew 6:6 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Matthew 6:9 “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
I love being a father. I never tire of hearing my children call me Dad. What a privilege that God shares this lofty title with earthly fathers! (more…)

People are drawn to activity. Make sure your church is a good testimony to the community. Outdoor projects are a lasting advertisement for your church. Here are 10 easy ideas.
A seasoned pastor told me a few years ago to complete an outside project at church at least once a year. The positive changes create interest in the community and excitement among the church members. Activity is a sign of life. Dead things don’t move. Make sure your community knows that your church is alive and well. (more…)
Life and ministry have been busy this Spring. We are moving fast and getting a lot done for Jesus. Full Speed ahead!
In the whirlwind of ministry, I haven’t been posting on my usual schedule. I plan to return to the Tuesday / Friday Schedule next week.
Since our last post, we have accomplished much for the Lord.
- Preached at New England Baptist College in Southington, CT.
- Sang at the Men’s Conference at Heritage Baptist Church in Wallingford, CT.
- Helped host the Spring Save New England Conference at Victory Baptist Church in Winthrop, ME.
- Taught and preached at the Spring Save New England Conference.
- Edited and printed the first issue of Save New England Magazine.
- Lead our Spring Program efforts at Curtis Corner Baptist Church.
- Followed God’s leading as He opened a miraculous door to put a deposit on 3 acres of prime land next to the Church.
- Spread the good news of the Gospel.
- Accomplished a lot of Pastor stuff, Husband stuff, and Dad stuff. Lol.
- Been blessed above measure!
God is moving mightily in Rhode Island and across New England. I’m glad that we serve a living Saviour Who is still saving souls, changing lives, and glorifying Himself. I am thankful He allows me to serve Him! What a life!
